Horses Gone Too Soon

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.  There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.  The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Yellow Dogs Nolan
Sadly, we laid Nolan to rest on March 19, 2009.  He was one of the best studs I've ever had the pleasure to be around.  He was a gentle soul and had so much heart.  He loved the cows and passed his wonderful qualities on to his foals.  He will be greatly missed.
Buddy

Dear Buddy was the first to leave us. He was such a sweet horse and as you can see, he loved to help out!  His only job was to be a "buddy" for an orphaned colt and he performed that job superbly!  We miss you Buddy!

King Hershey Bar (Hershey) was one of our first boarders.  Hershey was a gentle horse and a favorite of everyone.  We loved to put the young foals with him in the pasture because he was always calm and taught them well.  His owner rode him until the end.  He was a great foundation quarter horse.  A rare treasure.  He was almost 30 years old when he passed away.  I can still see him standing at the water's edge....his favorite spot.

Rio was one of the first foals from our stallion "Lefty".  He was an absolutely georgous bay with sky blue eyes.  He was sold as a weanling to a loving home with 3 of his pasture mates.  Unfortunately he passed away at about 9 months of age of salmonella.  His short life was filled with love and he is greatly missed.
